John runs Zumobi’s national sales efforts and oversees the East Coast personally. He joined Zumobi in April 2016 to bring Zumobi’s unique branded Microzine solution to the marketplace, having been the executive director of sales at The New Yorker among other positions at Conde Nast. John served as the Global Director of Digital Advertising & Strategy for more than two years at National Geographic, as well ad sales and marketing roles at Time Inc. and ESPN.

John’s background in marketing enables him to develop large-scale programs with the client’s goals at the heart of the partnership. While an executive director in Conde Nast’s corporate division, he orchestrated the company’s first-ever global-content agreement, with Samsung. A native of New York City, where he remains based, John is a graduate of Hamilton College and a 10-year board director of the Financial Communications Society (FCS), where he serves as programming chair as a member of the FCS’s executive committee.
